In India, it is called as Patrani machi which is a Parsi steamed fish preparation. The coconut chutney mixture coated on fish and banana leaves are used in this preparation.
Steamed Fish in Banana Leaves
This is one of the best recipes of fish which I have ever seen. It is healthy and at the same time, it is quite tasty!
Marinate fish fillets with lemon juice and salt for at least 30 to 40 mins.
Now prepare chutney(paste). combine all the chutney ingredients well and grind it well till the paste is formed.
Coat all the fish fillets with already prepared chutney well from both the sides.
Wrapped the fillets with banana leaves and string it properly.
Steam them 15to20 mins and serve hot.
